Astori in Italy squad for Macedonia and Albania games

Davide Astori has been called up to the Italy squad for forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Macedonia and Albania.

The Viola skipper will join up with the Azzurri in Coverciano on Sunday evening after Fiorentina's match against Chievo Verona.

Italy play Macedonia on Friday 6 October at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino (20:45) then travel to Albania for their final qualifying match on Monday 9 October (both 20:45 kick-offs).

Giampiero Ventura's side will be looking to secure second place in Group G as well as improving their ranking (17th) to ensure they are seeded for the play-off draw in Zurich on 17 October.
