Fiorentina Primavera have been eliminated from the Scudetto finals after being held to 2-2 draw by Torino in the quarter-finals.

The Viola needed to win the game in normal time to advance to the semis, having finished one point and one place below their opponents during the regular season.

In a game dominated for long spells by Fiorentina, it was Torino who took the lead through their top scorer Vincenzo Millico, but Dusan Vlahovic turned the tables with two goals before the break.

Nicky Beloko was then injured in what could have been a penalty for the Viola and had to go off as a result before Millico levelled the scores.

Emiliano Bigica's side were unable to find the third goal they needed but it has nonetheless been a successful season with a Coppa Italia trophy to show for their efforts and a Super Cup final to play next term.
