Fiorentina Primavera displayed a show of strength as they overcame league leaders Roma 2-1 on Friday afternoon.

Playing at the Giallorossi's Tre Fontane ground, the Viola took a 2-0 lead in at the break after a magnificent first half with goals by Meli (29) and Antzoulas (35). The hosts halved the deficit through Celar in the 82nd minute, courtesy of a generously awarded penalty, but Emiliano Bigica's boys held on to secure a massive win.

Fiorentina move up to third in the table on 18 points, awaiting results elsewhere.
