Medical report: Gomez and Cuadrado

Medical examinations carried out on Mario Gomez today confirmed a grade two tear of the medial collateral ligament in his left knee. The striker will wear a brace for two weeks before beginning a rehabilitation programme to bring him back up to match fitness gradually. The recovery period is expected to last six to seven weeks.

Diagnostic tests on Juan Cuadrado have confirmed a grade two acromioclavicular dislocation with a strain on the joint capsule. The player is expected to recover in three weeks.
