2017 Fiorentina Hall of Fame

The 2017 edition of the Fiorentina Hall of Fame, organised by ACF Fiorentina and Fiorentina Museum with the help of Banca CR Firenze and Confindustria Firenze, was held on Thursday.

This year's inductees include Enzo Robotti, the right-back from Fiorentina's 1966 Cup Winners' Cup and Coppa Italia-winning team, Francesco Rosetta, captain of our first Scudetto in 1956, Ugo Ferrante, a defender in our second Scudetto-winning side in 1969, Enrico Chiesa, a striker from our last Coppa Italia triumph in 2001, Carlos Dunga, a former captain of Fiorentina and 1994 World Cup winners Brazil, and Sandro Mencucci, president of Fiorentina Women's FC, who did the league and cup double last season.

Fiorentina were the first Italian club to set up a Hall of Fame in 2012. Previous inductees include Antognoni, Hamrin, Pandolfini, Chiappella, Staccione, Pizziolo, Brizi, Rigano, Ridolfi, Righetti, Parenti, Bernardini, Fantappiè, Biagini, Parigi, Befani, Pesaola, Galli, Paroli, Bandini, Borgonovo, Valcareggi, Zeffirelli, Tanturli, De Sisti, Ciuffi, Sarti, Magnini, Orzan, Virgili, Julinho, Baglini, Segato, Merlo, Contratto, Mazzoni, Albertazzi, Batistuta, Volk, Csapkay, Cervato, Chiarugi, Ugolini, Valenti, Mantovani, Toldo, Menti, Montuori, Superchi, Toni, Raveggi and Masieri.

Enrico Chiesa and Sandro Mencucci spoke to Violachannel at the event, along with current club captain Davide Astori and technical director Pantaleo Corvino.
