U19s crush Brescia 12-1 to qualify for Final Eight

Fiorentina Primavera made sure of their place in the end-of-season finals with an utterly dominant display against Brescia in their last game of the regular season, eventually running out 12-1 winners.

The Viola were 3-0 up inside the opening quarter of an hour and took a six-goal advantage in at the break, before completing the rout with another half dozen in the second period.

Riccardo Sottil plundered a first-half brace while Gabriele Gori helped himself to four goals, including three in a nine-minute spell in the second half.

The result means Fiorentina finish their Group A campaign in second place on 55 points, thus securing their spot in the quarter-finals of the tournament without having to go via a play-off.

The Viola also boast the best attack of the whole championship, with 84 goals scored.
